Instructions

The Instant Quote form allows you to enter different variables and calculate the cost of 3D prints before purchasing or entering any personal information. You can play with all the variables and see what the 3D print will cost prior to committing to anything. Once you are ready, you can upload your file and order your 3D print. It's that easy.

Here are specific instruction for each of the fields:

Material 

Choose a material and color from the dropdown list. If you're not sure, PLA is the recommended choice for most jobs. Check our Materials page for more information.

Volume of Part

Required. Volume of part is in cubic centimeters, (cc, or cm³). Can be obtained from your CAD software, or by opening your STL file in the free program Netfabb. You can also calculate it quickly HERE.

Qty of prints

The number of copies you want to order. Default is one.

Choose resolution

Resolution refers to the layer height. Higher resolution gives a smoother model with finer detail but costs more since it takes longer to print.
0.3mm (Normal) is good for all large parts and prototypes. 0.2mm (Fine) is the best choice for small parts and finished pieces. Do not choose 0.1mm (Extra Fine) unless your part is very small.

Choose Infill

Infill is the material used to fill the empty space inside the shell of an object, it refers to the density. Normally, you would not need to go for maximum fill of a 3D model. A special pattern is used to create a strong and durable inside support structure. 20% infill is usually more than enough for normal use.

Choose Shipping

Choose Standard, Priority, or Express shipping. Be sure to choose Domestic for U.S. purchasers, or International if you are out of the United States.

This is your total quote with shipping included.

File Upload

This button allows you to upload the file from your computer. We highly prefer STL files, but will accept OBJ files as well. Contact us to submit an AutoCAD DWG, DWF, DXF, or SolidWorks file.

When you are ready, click on the "Checkout with PayPal" button. This will take you to the PayPal site to make the payment and complete your order. You will receive an order confirmation by email.
